Yes, I agree! But... it seems we might put a bit more
emphasis on other methods like solar hot water.
I think the earlier objection was the non-sustainable
aspect. And... there is a point to that.
When my current hot water heater fails, I am thinking
of replacing with a tankless (propane). I am not off-grid.
A local friend recently installed a large grid-tied PV
system. (Sorry for the off topic.)
