Subject: [simplyoffgrid] Re: Tankless Hot water heaters

As Steve said, the dalay for a tankless has to do with distance from
spout AND if you are using a preheat tank inside your house. Water
stored or pumped directly from outside will take longer to heat than
water stored at room temperature. I installed a 25 gallon water tank
under my sink to keep water at room temp and my small $129 ecotemp
tankless heats it up to scalding within 5 seconds.

There is also some difference when using an electric tankless or
gas. I have heard electrics are slower because element still takes
some time to get hot but propane and natural gas are almost
instantaneous. I use propane and love it!

ecotemps for $129 are available on ebay and I am not the seller.
