You want to ground everything, and I mean everything,
at a single common external ground - which generally
means the one that the power company installed.

Grid
Phone
Internet
Cable
OTA-TV
Solar PV
Wind
Well pump power
Out-buildings
Etc.

You may *also* choose to ground some of those things at
the source, e.g. your solar pv, wind, etc. but do not
do that *instead* of the common ground, do that *in
addition to* the common ground.

This is standard lightning-defense practice among
Amateur Radio ops as we tend to build antennas and
towers that are lightning magnets!
