Ok , where to start? $300 way over budget... So my options are DIY or die.
I would have thought there had been some one posting about on a mini
mass heater.
My plan hinged on not having to burn cords of lumber but rather
harvest dead fall and make use of that.
Solution. take one mini no#10 can diy rocket and one large copper
bottom stainless pot.
(water as a thermal mass) incorporate features from the pocket rocket
design as well as the Lorena.
Make portable and heat one well insulated 201sq ft yurt with a few
handfuls of twigs a night. No muss, no fuss, completely outside the
box, also frugal and green. and sustainable. using only windfall for
heating is way sustainable.( no wood chopping or splitting)
I think this type of design would help out on the farm to heat out
buildings and such.
P.S. fortunes do change as I was discussing this last night, I got an
offer to winter on a 50 acre woodlot in exchange for some work barter.
The selling point was that I would not cut any standing timber for
heating or cooking.
